zero interrupt

i've been doing harddisk audio recording for some time now and did some demos in my computer. but lately i've been having problem. everytime i record multitrack audio, the middle or end part of the audio recording becomes out of sync with the audio bed. what is wrong. i did not touch or re-configured anything yet 'coz it was ok in the first place, it just suddenly happened which totally new to me.
my set up
amd k6-2 400mhz
64 megs ram
ensoniq pci
yamaha 192XGd
4mb S3 video card
3 harddrives (ea. for programs, files and audio)
zip 100
cd-rom
audio software
samplitude 2496
cubase 3.65
soundforge 4.5b
it happens to both multrick softwares
hope you can help me on this.
