I recently acquired a Behringer Xenyx 1204FX and I'm trying to decide what would be the best route for connecting it to my computer(which lacks a sufficient sound card), I'm considering the Behringer UCA-202 but I'm also looking at some higher-end interfaces on craigslist but they are a tad older; the Echo Gina 24-Bit and the Tascam US-122. Any suggestions or advice? As well as your thoughts on purchasing equipment on craigslist, bad idea or godsend?
Thanks in advance guys!

i used to use a uca-202 to connect my behringer xenyx mixer to my laptop. for the price it worked pretty well, sounded clear and i liked it.

as far as craigslist goes, just be smart. i buy an sell gear on craigslist a fair bit and its a good deal. just make sure to tell someone where your going and youll be fine.

no experience with any of the two others mentioned sorry.

It is indeed and I have read the manual; the interface that the manual refers to is a separate entity (which to my current knowledge was a UFO202) supplied with the mixer upon commercial purchase. However, the person I had purchased this mixer from no longer had that audio interface, hence my search for a sufficient substitute.

You may have a problem mate, seems like all the newer mixers have built in USB connection. You have to simply pony up for an interface.

Oh there's no doubt that I'm gonna have to give up some cash for an interface I'm simply asking if anyone has any experiences with the interfaces in my original post and if they're worth looking into and/or other interface suggestions for a reasonable price for a beginner ($50-$90).

the uca-202 is a great deal

i also used to own and use a Lexicon Alpha.

the lexicon is 80$ vs the behringers 30$.

id still pick the uca over the alpha for your needs.
