Hi

I'm in the process of rebuilding my recording studio & would like some advice on the best audio interface to purchase.

Windows 7 64 Bit
Cubase 7
Need Midi
Need Mike/Line inputs
Prefer USB
Haven't decided whether to use my uber-fast all singing all dancing hand built PC or my Vaio laptop (Core i5, 4Gb RAM) - obvious portability advantages using laptop though.

Thanks in advance
Martin

ps I have a broken M-Audio Fast Track Pro which I always found to be a pig to set up with Win7 64 as the drivers only seemed to work with 32 bit Windows. So not keen on M-Audio!

Best?

RME Fireface UCX is up there. Depends upon how many inputs you need. Use your new PC. I got a new one specifically for recording and it's hardly breaking a sweat so far, and I latency isn't an issue. It ain't cheap, however...:thumbs up:

What is your budget? How many mics will you using at the same time?
