I'm using an audio interface Line 6 UX1. When I'm recording, I always record a pretty loud noise - it's noticeable. Even when I disconnect a microphone (remove from the interface) and keep recording, the noise is still there. What can cause that?

The Line 6 will probably show in Windows (7?) as a "USB Microphone". Find it in the Sound Devices menu and then find "levels". This will probably be at 100%. you want 5%, probably less.
I have never tried a Line 6 but I should be surprised if it did not have a noise floor better than -90dBFS. IF properly setup.
