Audio Interface for SONAR 4 - $500

What is the best soundcard to use with SONAR 4?

In the $500 price range?

In the $1000 price range?


Occasionally, I would be recording guitar, keys, bass, 2 mics at once, so I'd like to have a few inputs. I'm thinking I'd like the convenience of a rack or break-out box (don't wanna get behind the computer all the time).

My specs: Intel 1.7GHz, 1GB Rambus, two 120GB disks

Check out the M-Audio delta 1010. 8 analog inputs in a rackmount unit for $450

for around 1K and if you mixing in the box I'd suggest a Lynx Two-C (i think thats the config) of 6 ins and 2 outs. or if you don't need 6 you can pick up the lynxtwo-A 4 ins and 4 outs. If you buy this card conversion will no longer be a concern anymore.

curious, why is conversion no longer an issue with the Lynx card?
