Audio Import Wave Form Problem-Pro Tools

Hello all,

I am experiencing a problem when importing an audio file into Pro Tools. I click on convert it if it's an mp3 so it converts it into a wav, but when I open it in Pro Tools there is no wave form, just a single, horizontal, straight line. Even if the file is already a wav file. Tracks are on wave form too. Checked all the wave forms or wave options under view. Not sure what to do

I need wave forms to be able to edit audio for practice exercises for class.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Odd. I'd check the original .mp3 to make sure it's o.k. Then I'd trash the ProTools preferences and see if that helps.

Thanks Jeffro, I got it to work! Someone helped me at Avid Forum. I had to reset the wave formats.
