Audio drive: install software on slave or master?

should I install the DAW software on the master or the slave? only the audio files on the slave?

what's the best setup?

I would have my music apps on the MASTER, as well as the CURRENT songs that I am constructing/mixing.

I would use the SLAVE drive for storage/backup.

they are on the same cable... however, I have a super ATA card that could be used as well.

what's the best setup for smooth audio recording? This computer is dedicated to audio recording.

the best setup is to have the drive that you are using for working .wav files setup as the master drive on a cable and to use this drive for that purpose only......

everything else (OS,apps,etc on your regular C drive).......
