Audio Bud DMP3 & Studio P, VTB-1 preamps?

Okay guys, . just a quick questions, . .I'm struggling here. . .are either one of these pres better than the other, . .or are they pretty much the same quality, . and its a matter of taste? Will one give a bit more warmth, and maybe some slight color for vocals,..over the other? or again is it a matter of preference. . ?

Any objective opinions about these two for vocals. . .? I will probably be using a Yamaha MG series mixer, and I need a unit for some decent phantom power to a condenser, and thought that maybe one of these might give me a bit more warmth, as well as providing me with phantom power. . .Maybe, . .maybe not? I dunno. . .anyone?

They are each good preamps for their price range. I use and rely on the DMP3; I think it is a clear improvement over my Mackie stage mixer preamps. I've been looking at the VTB-1. If you haven't used the Yamaha yet, how about getting some hours with it first and only then deciding what should come next? The mixer will provide phantom power and people seem to like it a lot.

The VTB1 isn't the most stylish preamp you'll ever see, but the controls are solid, the led meters are very helpful and see-able from a distance, and it allows you to completely dial-in or dial-out a tube stage. It's a VERY quiet preamp, even when you have to really boost gain and even when you decide to add some of the tube circuit. It's one channel.
