Hi,

I've got an Audigy 2ZS in my PC at the moment, but I've been thinking about switching to a Mac, mainly for Garageband 2.

Now I know there's a lot of people who say that the Audigy 2ZS isn't very good for recording, but is it better than the standard audio that comes with Mac's?

If so, I might fork out $120 and grab myself the front panel for the Audigy 2ZS that has midi inputs etc etc.

Cheers

First, I think that sounds rather drastic to completely revamp your PC setup for Garageband 2. Just get a good PC software setup (plenty of them better than Garageband 2) and save your money. If you have other reasons you've always wanted to go Mac, that's another story.

Second, I'm not even going to look up the specs on the native Mac soundcard, but I'd say that the Audigy would smoke it. (Brace yourself, here comes the Audigy haters :D )

I don't ever deal with soundcards anymore, I have a G5 Imac and just plug my 002r into the firewire port, and well, it smokes the shit outta my audigy.

As it should.
