here is our situation:
we have a toshiba notebook that requires an interface for the line in to plug our mixer into. our interface is a behringer uca202 and our mixer is a koda kd238. it appears that when connected they seem to create an audible interference that comes through the recording and is present in the monitor speakers when just sitting there switched on.
when isolated the mixer and the interface appear to be working fine, but together they create this noise, making the setup unsuitable for recording with.
we have tried plugging into different main outlets around the house to eliminate any circuit problems we may or may not have to no evail.
tried also to reposition equipment in case the problem was some sort of positioning thing.
please please please if anyone has come across this problem before or knows what causes it then please please please let us know. as we are now at what some would call our wits end.
