Hi,
I just got a At2020 Mic and when I am trying to record sound by plugging into the mic there is no sound. However when I looked at the documentation it said it needs phatom power.
I am new to sound recording, and hence I am wondering if there is a way to get around this. When I hook up my cheap mic I can record the sound.
Now what am I missing here?
The reason I don't want to have all this equipment is because I travel and wanted to have a small mic where I can record my mp3 in the hotel rooms.
Now - Do I have a choice or not. If not what is the best possible solution, both keeping in mind the size of the equipment and the quality of sound.
Your help is much appreciated.
Regards
