I have home studio 2004 cakewalk on a dell computer upstairs with no internet hooked up to it. The trial version of the mp3 ran out so took it downstairs here and hooked it up to the internet today and got a free mp3 encoder for it but after loading it is slow and just a blue screen now when booting up. put it back upstairs and put in in safe mode and all works but no sound in that mode. but in booting up not in safe mode just the blue screen. now what? please help,

Boot into safe mode and uninstall the 'free mp3 encoder' program.

trial version of the mp3? What mp3? Do you mean the trial version of Cakewalk 2004? Im pretty sure mp3 is an audio format and not a programme format....isnt it? :D

nah, cakewalk's ability to use mp3 format only lasts a short while then you have to pay for it. they to this to keep the cost down for folks who don't use mp3 format (this way they don't have to pay for it). I think they should include it myself but they don't.
