AT 3035 vs. Oktava 219

Looking to add a pair of LDC's for times when I want to cover more of the drums with fewer mics. Waiting to receive my Joly 603's for more "cymbal specific" situations but like to have options. I currently own one 3035 and considered picking up a second. Any advantages with the 219's?. I'm talking OH's in case I'm not clear.

I have a 3035 and a Joly-modded Oktava 319. (same innards as the 219)

The 3035 is ok on a drum kit. Nothing wrong with it. Actually it gave me a sound very similar to an SM81 overhead. YMMV

The 319 on the other hand is great on drums. Using a single 319 3 or 4 feet in front of the kit I can get 90% of the drum sound. It's deep and rich with no high end hash to sort out. It's good on kick too.

If it's just for overheads, I'm thinking another 3035 is a good idea - the specs are fairly tight (not that they'll *match*, but they'll prolly be close enough), and they seem to be going for cheap on the used market.

I, um, don't have a 219 either, but I have a few 319s (including one Joly-mod) - stock, they seem to have more variation than I'd like (that is, they tend to sound different from each other), and are kind of dark sounding. If I had two Joly modded 319s, I'd have no problem using them for overheads, though. I've got some really good vocal tracks with the 319s in situations where I didn't even consider a 3035, to be sure.
