I'm a newbie to recording so any info will be helpful anyway, this is how I would like to setup my home studio:

Hardware

Software
  • Cakewalk Home Studio 9
  • Fruityloops Pro 3

I want to use FL as a soft sampler & HS9 for recording to comp to make CDs & uploading mp3 to the internet. I want like to add some signal processors to this setup, but dont know what!? Any input will appreciated.

Questions
  • What kind of music are you creating?
  • What is your budget?
  • How do you know you need a signal processor?
  • Would it be possible for you to provide us with some more info?

:D

Well I want to create hip-hop/r&b music. I have $700 to spend. I would like to learn how to incorporate effects & compression into my music. I really dont want to do too much digital recording until I've got a complete feel for analog recording. If there's anything else ya need to know lemme know.

Do some searches here on this site on signal processors. :)

You should do a little research, first.

I'll post you a few reference sites that should help you better understand the necessary processes you'll need to make. ;)
