Asio Sync Problems

I am an absolute novice so advance warnings.

Whenever I attempt to record audio into Cubase on my PC via my Alesis IO/2 I am confronted with the error message "Audio Engine Record Error: Audio Engine Error: Asio went out of Sync".

Am I doing something wrong? Could anyone let me know how to solve this problem? I will be very grateful.

What version of cubase are you running? Try altering your audio set up and choosing your desired sound card.
