I want to use my laptop for editing tracks and playing soft synths and samplers (Reason) but not really use it for tracking live instruments (I've got a desktop for that).
Has anyone tried the Audigy cardbus? I know, Creative generally sucks, but I don't care about its recording abilities (or lack thereof) I just need the ASIO driver to get low latency.
Normally I'd consider a FW device, but I'd really like this to be small, because there's times I'd be on a train and I don't want all this crap laying everywhere, attracting attention.
Any thoughts?
