ASIO buffer?

I get a lot of intermittent stuttering with the Bandlab Sonar. I never had it with the old one. I have the buffer set as high as it goes. Any other ideas? thanks.

You want the buffers as low as they'll go with out any drop outs.

the buffers open up the ram for processing, which causes latency. processing time that may not be needed. Some say keep the buffers low while tracking and high while mixing. I never adjust mine and do just fine.

What plugs and other processes do you have going? Look at what is running and see if there are things you can cut out. Multiple reverb plugs come to mind as they can consume a lot of processing power.

Turn off anti-virus.
Defrag your hard drive.
Freeze tracks that won't need adjustments. Especially VSTi's if you are using any.
