Just recently, I was watching a bio on the group Police.
There was a chapter in where Andy Summers was working with Deb Harry.
I noticed that she was singing, head down toward the lyrics she was reading.
The microphone seemed to be at least 2 feet or more up above her head.
I have seen this before, a few times. Mostly when people are reading for a cartoon.
Can someone explain this placement ?
This is nothing I remember reading about when it comes to micing a singer.
