Bunyip, you're a persistant little prick, I'll give you that much but FFS realise that these mics, regardless of how they sound are just another Chinese mic, and probably from the lesser of the mic manufacturers over there. They are overpriced.........there can be no discussion on that point.

Mate, whichever way you try and justify these mics, there are at least half a dozen people here who can easily pull your arguments to pieces. And if the info I have requested from o/seas contacts ever turns up, I'll chime in even further.

Marshall Mics were touting and hyping the MXL2001 as "equivalent to Neumann" too -- and they sounded like complete dogshit.... and why are you still here anyways, BIGYAP? Take your ball and move along now.......... :rolleyes:

We don't ever keep anyone's 'eval product' without paying for it.

I can't think of any reason why someone would lie about being from Foxboro, MA... it's a podunk shitty little town in the middle of the suburban forest... that's like lying about being from W. Virginia...

Mercenary Audio has been around for like 15 years... in that time we've never done anything that could seem unscrupulous with any client or supplier.

Give it your best shot to find anyone who feels like they were fucked by M-A. You might find more than a few people we pissed off [Neumann to name one], you might find more than a few that think I'm a complete and total asshole [you're probably are in that group], but the fact of the matter is you won't find anyone that thinks they were screwed by M-A... zero in 15 years... not a bad batting average.

So... what ya gonna do, tough guy? Again, we're back to 'put up or shut up'... and you did so well on the 'credits' thing... I'm figuring I ought to see this mic on... oh, I dunno... probably the 12th... God, this thread is a hoot! Fletcher, don't you think you're taking it a little easy on him? I look forward to your eval on this "mighty mic"! Bunyip- you lying spammer. How stupid do you think we are? We are quite capable of figuring out how and where your mics are made, and how they compare to a Neumann. The problem is, Fletcher is one of the most respected and knowledgable purveyors of high end audio gaer, and one of the best tracking engineers in America. If I were you, I'd be ripping the guts out of my mic and replacing them with components from a Gefell, Telefunken, AKG C12, Brauner, B.L.U.E, Schoeps.
Then when Fletcher gets done disassembling your rebadged Chinese mic, he'll have some decent parts to send back to you in a box COD.-Richie

Bunnyboy, why the hell didn't you do some research? If you really want to pimp this thing out, find out who the big boys are on this board (there is a few of them) ask them privately to try your wonderful mic, and then if they feel it's worthy they'll let the rest of us pee-ons know. This is has been nothing but funny as hell, but gawd give it a rest or something.
 
Considering the changes made to the Ebay auction page, (which ends in about 48mins time), I can only presume that the vendor is trying to "smoke screen" the whole thing and save his arse.

And BTW, Bunyip............tell your vendor friend that the mics are still TOO FUCKING EXPENSIVE.
