Nice. It was very hard to pass up for 30 bucks... I tried... I told myself I didn't need it. It didn't work. :o

I picked one up too.

This is a time where my procrastination paid off. I've been looking for a cheap 1 channel pre for my talkback and I was going to get this pre or the Behringer MIC100. All the ones of these on eBay were going for nearly the new price (which stuff typically does on the 'bay these days).

Yay for stupid deals. Although they're probably still making money on 'em.

Out of curiosity, I checked on this again, and the price is still at 29.99, although it's no longer the 'stupid deal of the day' Here's the new link:

I doubt it will last too long at this price; they probably just didn't get rid of enough of them yesterday.

If you add it the shopping cart it'll show $70, so I called them and they apologized and sold it to me for $29.

I should've bought ten of them and put them on eBay.

Cool they sold it to you! I thought about ordering more to resell, too, but thought better of it since I'm lazy and would just end up sitting on them until they were really only worth $30 :(

It looks like they still haven't fixed it, so if you're willing to call and bitch, get them while you can, folks :)

yeah, I couldn't resist this deal either. Just bought one though.

They were only $49.99 the day before this "stupid deal" went up. After the stupid deal, they jacked the price up by $20.

Nice.

I'm glad I got mine at $29.99.

mannn

trying to avoid buying another cheap pre that i really dont need..

BTW, if you find a "stupid deal of the day" and can't pay for it that day, put it in your cart, and come back to your cart a couple days later when you have the money, you should see it still at the lower price, atleast it has worked for me two times now. And it wasn't a well they kept it at the lower price for everybody to see, cause if you followed the link back to where the product was on the site it was their normal price. YMMV!!!!!!!!!!!!!

01/24/07 - I just tried that shopping cart stunt and it worked. Actually I had one in shopping cart from the other day, then today modified the number of them to 3 (to see if it worked). I really dont want these things, but I ordered 3 anyway at the 29.00 price and it went through and they are on the way. Guess off to Ebay they will go (at least one or two of them) lol :D

But now we know the ole "stocking of the shopping cart while on special" trick works. LOL ;)

Peace
AJ

Yeah, it's still working...off the main page... I just ordered 4 of them....

Just out of curiosity, what will you do with 4?

Sell 2 or 3 to get your money back?

I'll probably keep 2 of them around my studio to use, if for nothing else direct boxes... 2 of my friends wanted 1 each... Even if they decide they don't want them later, I'll eBay them in a few weeks/months... Heck, they were cheap enough. All 4, total price to my door: $119.96.

Got my Tube MP today. It's surprisingly quiet, even at max gain. I may have to pick up a couple more. I love new toys, especially when they are cheap.

I've never actually used or heard one of them. How big/wide do they sound? Do they have that "up-close in-your-face" sound?

Thanks in advance,
