Hey guys. I currently have a Mackie 1202 and a cheap condenser ($150 Apex). I was looking at upgrading my setup and this is about my budget. Anyone use this setup? Opinions? Would it be a significant leap in sound from what I have now? I am weary of all in 1 devices but the reviews are good.

It would be mainly for acoustic and electric guitars and vocals.

Also - a dumbass question. I would still use the Mackie - but only as a patchbay, correct? Like plug the outs of the ART into my soundcard and then the outs of the soundcard into the Mackie for monitoring? Is that the best way to do it?

Thanks guys.

The NTK -> RNP/RNC is my exact same set up. I use SP C4s for the acoustic guitars though but love the NTK for vocals. I have some very amateur samples if you'd like.

Don't anything about the Mackie so I can't answer your question. I think you'll like the NTK with the FMR stuff.

Hey Sage - thanks for the input. I changed the thread title because you can't get the RNP anymore!

There is an e-bay seller with 8 available. Humbucker Music also has it in stock.

That's what I thought. Ebay almost always seems to have a few of these around.

I think the Art Pro Channel or the M-Audio Tampa + the NTK would be a good vocal and elect guit setup. The Mackie is pretty good for acou guit and percusion IMO. It will also work for monitoring a lot of differnt inputs.

That works well. Also, if you have two outputs from your preamp or other source gear (amps, other pres), run one set to the Mackie, then you can track without any latency.

Yup, that's the way to do it. :)
