This is related to my post about the Wharfedale 8.2A monitors (in that very long thread), but now the question is about a specific mixer. I have a mic preamp already. All I want to do is send the output of my Audiophile 2496 soundcard to something that will let me use headphones to hear the music while I record the vocals, and then of course send the output of that to the Wharfedales (which I just ordered at a great price, thanks deepwater).
The Behringer UB802 was suggested, but its way more then I need. How about a small personal mixer like the ART Power Mix II? Do you think that would work well? Would something funny happen to the signal (a funny thing happened on the way to the wharfys...) using this tiny mixer? I do not need any EQ on the vocal signal going in - I do that all in SONAR 3.
Here are the specs of the mixer. Any comments? Thanks!!
channel 1 input impedance: 10K ohms; channel 1 gain 32 dB max.; channel 2 input impedance 20K ohms; channel 2 gain: 20 dB max. Dimensions 3.75 x 2.75 x 1.5 inches.
