Armistice

Son of Yoda
So I've been amusing myself by recording some new Armistice stuff (which is the acousticy instrumental stuff, not the Jongleurs band stuff) and knocking up a few vids for them as well as some older material as well..

Thought I'd post them here up for a bit of a laugh.. enjoy!

;)

Nice work - simple themes and uncluttered images with clean editing. They all work for me.
Some loevely playing as well.

Where do you get your stock footage? (especially the awesome alcoholic puppets!)

I've been pondering trying to do videos out of stock footage spliced with "band" shots for a while now.

I notice two capos!

Was one only pressing on a few strings?

VHS - There's a site called Prelinger Archives that has a bunch of old stuff that's on creative commons licence that you can pretty much do what you like with... I just happened across the puppets in an old beer ad from the 40s or 50s... cool aren't they? I thought it would be a treasure trove but there's only so much of it that's useful... worth a check out - though - it's funny, now that I've found that site, I see footage from it popping up on TV from time to time... check out the stripper footage from the 40s while you're there! :D

That's a "third hand capo" Crows - google it - they're cheap little things but yes, they press down on only some strings, depending upon how you set them up. An interesting way to get different chord tonalities happening relatively easily. I think in the tune that shows it, it's set to an E sus 4 chord 022200, but obviously you can do what you like, and I have the normal capo on 2... good way to get rid of boominess from acoustic guitars too... and seeing it's instrumental music, the key doesn't matter so much...

Thanks for your comments ray...:D

Awesome! Never knew what the type of capo was called.

Nice music btw!

Great as always David.
Rog stole the show!
Musta been rough finding all of those different backgrounds to set him in front of.

Thanks Henry

My girlfriend's extensive collection of scarves came in handy... because she's from OS, at birthday/Christmas her friends at home think "What's easy to send to Australia?" and so scarves are quite common... :D

I just need Rog to go viral! :laughings:

I'm just bumping this as it's annoying to have a troll post at the top of the forum for so long...

RAMI - give me a yell if you want me to knock something up for you..

I watched all of your videos a few days ago.......before I stumbled onto this thread.

The Ghosts Of Cloudland is excellent from every aspect....recording wise.....and story wise.

I really apreciate that. I've been busy with other things, so I haven't even put anythought into it. But I'll get to it soon. Thanx Arm.

I really enjoyed stagefright...such a simple and effective idea...id love to see Rog pull a Dylan, no vocals just his placards

Cool stuff man :)

Thanks 60s!
