Hi Guys

Lets prseume you a have a certain VSTI doesnt matter which one
NI B4 or a rhodes .. whatever

is there a way to record the manipulations of the VSTI

speed of the rotator or vibra effect etc..
as a real keyboard player would be able to do during performance ?

if I arm for automation the only thing that highlights is the volume and pan knob
and that is not really what I'm looking for

thanx in advance

Some DX plugins and VST plugins can be automated. Usually the easiest way to tell is to right click on the track they are assigned to and choose Envelopes > Create Track Envelope. If the plugin is automatable, it will show up on the menu that pops up. Once you choose that plugin, you will get a list asking which parameters you want to automate.

I am not sure if there are any automatable DXi's or VSTi's. I don't think I have run across one yet. You, of course, can automate the volume and/or panning of a VSTi by putting a volume/pan envelope on the track the VSTi is assigned to.

BTW, although you didn't ask, I would strongly recommend using envelopes to create automation, rather than trying to record automation.

thx for the reply ...
but that would be a major bummer ..

only panning and volume is somewhat sober if you see the possibilities on certain VSTI's :(
