I've been having a lot of trouble with my firewire 410 lately. I have the updated drivers and everything, and a pretty decent system. My computer is a Toshiba Tecra 9100 laptop with a 2 gHz processor and 1 gb RAM. I don't have an additional HD for audio yet but will be getting one within the next few days.
I've been having 2 problems with the 410:
1) Pops and skips in my recordings that I can't control. I'm not sure how to address this.
2) Garbled playback when I listen to audio on the net. Not sure how to deal with this, either.
I also want to get my latency as low as possible, and to be honest, I don't even know how to check this (I'm a newbie, if you can't tell).
Thanks for the help!
