Well my friend, I can honestly say that....
You stumbled across the BEST BBS in the BIZ.

There are guys (and galz) here that give great advise.
Listen carefuly, they are very old and wize. ;)

Words of caution.
1. If you see Monty and Speedemon fighting, duck! or you might caught in the ring of panty hose fire.

2. If you see a link posted by Speedy, It will be porn.

3. If Mr.Q asks you for money, give it to him. (he's good for it)

4. If you get a reply with advise from Sonusman,. print it, laminate it and put it away in a safe place. It will be worth big bucks when he dies. :D (actually this guy is the guru of gurus in this place)

Any more fellas??
Help me out here...

Hola Che!

Yo soy mexicano. Bienvenido al bbs de Homerecording.com

Welcome to the HR.com bbs!

Como dicen, aquí la gente siempre está feliz de ayudarte. Oye, voy a tratar de bajar tu mp3 y a ver si al rato paso el url de una música grabada por mí.

¡Suerte, pibe!

Good Luck!

Hey snorp, I didn't know you did the "español thing"
cool dude:D

Hello again everyone.

It's cool to have spanish-speaking people around.

I'm going to say Nicolas some things in spanish, I hope no one feels I am being uncorteous, and if someone wants to know what did I write, just tell me and I'll translate it, no problemo. ok?:)

Espero tus comentarios.
Saludos y abrazos de tu amigo mexicano!

Any of you english-speakers can link to the song pages and post comments, too!

Yup. I'm majoring in Spanish at my university. I'm enjoying it quite a bit, but I sure hope it parlays into a career of some sort.

flapo1, podrias hacerme el favor de explicar que quiere decir la palabra "tesitura"? Siempre me gusta aumentar me vocabulario de grabar en espanol.

Hola a todos!

WhoopySnorp:

Congrats on being a major in spanish. I'll be glad to help you anytime, just send me a P.M.!

BTW, "tesitura" is a word applied to a sound's timbre, but it has a meaning linked to the texture of a sound. It is normally used for voice only.

Nicolás:
Hoy intentaré bajar más temas tuyos y te daré más opiniones. ¡Suerte!. PD. El sábado me llegan un micro Studio Projects C1, un Marshal 603s y una tarjeta Delta 1010lt.

Flapo, me parece que la palabra para "texture" en español es "textura"

Snorp...
Dude, I think that any 2nd language is a plus!
I'm sure it will help you in one point or another.
Congrats!

Eyes, tesitura Its Fine Textura its more relationated whit touch a thing. Anyway Flapo tell me that my voice have a nice timbre. I am very happy!!! jaja.

Flapo Okis? Me alegro que te gusten mis temas. Yo tengo una delta 1010!!! Me gusta mucho mas que la digi001. Congratulations for your delta!!! Here in my country I buy it for $1500 its to much expensive, but I need it.
I had a delta 1010 I like more than digi001 And I work whit vegas. here you can see my studio, bah, some pictures its a litlle studio in my house, http://www.musicart.20m.com

Flapo I was thinking that maybe you know somebody who looking for an assistant? Un asistente en sonido (I dont know how to say it in english)

I wont go away for my country becouse the things are imposibles here. And I looking for a Job in another country but relationated whit music. Maybe you know somebody. Or maybe someone know somebody who can help me. Y can send you mi profile.

Thanks again.

Eyes:

Actually as Nicolas said, Texture is best applied in spanish to touching things, and "tesitura" has to do with sound. Anyway, the problem was mine because I can't express it in english as well as I would like. But I'm sure that the word in spanish is tesitura because I am mexican :D

Nicolas:

I will write in english because I don't want to be uncorteous with all the nice guys here.

It's great that you do have a studio. I want to set up one here in Aguascalientes Mexico because all the ones that are around are pretty bad! Well, actually not the studios themselves but I think that the music they produce there lacks life and excitement, it's very dull. Anyway unfortunately I don't know of anyone needing an assistant. Maybe if my own studio is succesful I'll call you someday and say "Come over and let's do business".

Let me be you envy: My Delta 1010lt (no breakout box) costed me about $370 dollars because my brother went to USA and bought it there. ¡Estoy muy emocionado!.

PS: I love argentinian musicians, for example Enanitos Verdes, Soda Stereo, Fito Paez, Charly García, etc. etc.

I´m agree whit you about languages.
Flipo, how can I do to put an icon behind my name just like you have charlie brown?

and now back to the music

The first song is very nice.

The first word bugs me when the tune starts. Its like too hard.

Is that a real flute? (at the end of the solo there a extra tiny clip that sounds like a mistake)

And the end of the guitar solo kills me, it sounds like its missing a note.

And what is that timpani the backround? I think it shoud be louder

In the last chrorus can you tell me how you equed and panned the vocals?

Can u list the instruments you played and what was midi?

Thank you
Shana

shana, let me tell you that there is no midi instruments in mi songs, only de drums and the violin are not real instruments.
And the voice in all songs its mine! jaja!
Thanks for your critics!!!! Keep in touch.

Nico.-

Ok hes not kidding about the whole English thing

Your very very welcome.
