I need you guys to help me out here ...

Currently I track with tower speakers which I borrow from my humble home theatre set-up. (I don't use headphones). Anyway, I don't wanna log these around from room to room so I though I'd invest in some decent and budget speakers, just to pipe through my instrumental tracks. As my budget is no more than about $200 CND (or approx 150 USD) I thought I'd give these a try:

Any comments ? Good ? bad ? Price ?? Etc ......

Again, it's not terribly "accurate" or "critical" recordings that I make so I just want something that would give good basic sound reproduction.

Initially I had checked powered speakers but none were in my budget area. So then I thought I'd just buy normal speakers (like the above) and use my second receiver to power them. However, if you have any other suggestions then please let me know.

Thank you for your time,

Daniel

I would look for an older pair of Alesis monitor ones long before I used PA speakers. You should be able to find monitor ones used for about $100 a pair, or $200 new. In USD BTW.
