Hello. I am currently using plug-in effects, but am about to upgrade my mixer so was wondering if it is worth payin the extra cash and getting a one with built in effects?
Generally speaking, the onboard effects on lower end mixers are OK for live use, but fall well short of the quality you want for recording use. It might be suitable for providing some reverb to the headphones while someone is recording vocals.
