Thanks for the info. I'm just researching stuff for my own interest and maybe someday down the road. It's just not practical for me at this time, but sure is interesting to learn what is out there and history and things.
I really liked that on-line lecture, I wonder if there's anything else like that. I get a lot out of someone taking a subject where ever they feel like going, it usually reveals a lot of history, philosophy and practicality. How can you beat that for inspiration and information. And a lot of related subjects that you wouldn't know relate until you covered a lot of material on your own for a long time to put it all together....
In one hour I learned about even and odd harmonics, distortions and their decay in gear, class A vs. b, and C in circuits, digital swithing noise, extended frequency ranges in analog that get cut off from the finite limitations of digital, and more, and his own amazing personal story.
