I have a little question/problem. When I plug a guitar straight into the mackie onyx and run any plug in, lets say a heavy distortion plug-in, I hear the distortion and it records the distortion, but when you are playing you hear the clean guitar just as loud. It is basically the audio through apple, because I can quit logic and I still hear the guitar. Is there anyway to turn that off? I have looked everywhere and came up with nothing.
I do like the fact that I can listen to itunes through the speakers but I want to get rid of that pesky clean guitar.
Please help if you can.

hey man, you have basically the same exact setup as me, minus the guitar rig and an extra 400F. I have the same issue, Except I rarely record/use distortion. I was messing around on it and used a humbucker and I could hear the direct signal in equilibrium with the input monitoring signal. I think its just the way it is being your guitar's level output is high.
