Apogee Trak2 ?

Can anyone tell me something about this?
Is it simply just a 2 channel pre, is it a recording interface?
I'm kind of lost.

It's a preamp with high quality A/D converters. It can be used as an interface to the computer with the addition of the AMBus FireWire card.

It also looks like you would need to add an optional DA card to set it up as a complete interface.

You'll need both da card, and firewire card to use it as an interface.
The conversion is great, but for over $3,000, you can surely find a better interface.
