LOL! Thanks Dave! I didn't want to go to all of the trouble of setting it up and then finding out it was a piece of junk. As you obviously well know, Behringer doesn't have a sterling reputation! LOL!

The Behringer bad reputation is often unfair, I have some very good Behringer gear. I have never used the control surface, but when they came out I had a few friends that were happy to use them.

Alan.

That is one of the few pieces of Behringer kit that has become something of a classic like the ADA8000. Never read a bad word about them.

Were you UK and I was not skint this month (lekky bill, £625) I would start haggling.

Dave.

Yikes! I thought my lekky bill was high at $866...but that for 3 months, not just one!

Anyhow, yes, the BCF2000 is very well thought of. The only thing you need to check is that your DAW can accept control from one. Most can...but not all.

Like Witzendoz, I think most of the bad Behringer reputation is undeserved, especially in the last few years. Yeah, they've made a few "dogs" but most of their stuff is good value for money--it's just that the money is cheap! The biggest problem we seem to get on this forum is people buying cheap Xenyx mixers without considering the features they need compared to the mixers' functionality.

I also think that Behri gets unfairly criticized ..... for one thing a LOT of the people that buy Behri gear are newbies with low budgets so they don't know what they're doing and blame any sound problems on the gear when often it's their own lack of knowledge about how to use it.
I'm not saying Behri stuff is great but I've actually never seen a piece of behri gear that I couldn't mange to get at least decent results from.
