That's what i have now, i bought the adapters to plug everything in right, and i'm 100% sure everything as far as hardware is perfectly hooked up, but something is wrong with the installation or something, i cannoy record...in the windows audio controller thing, it's not even showing any options for recording..

recording.gif

that is a example of how it's not even showing up that it's allowing vocal recordings...

has anyone had this problem and how do u fix it?

i've downloaded all the latest drivers from the site but they didn't help a bit

Is that a screenshot of the Windows mixer?

The Audiophile uses its own mixer and bypasses Windows completely. Click on the "M" icon in the system tray to bring it up.

i did, i fooled around with the m audio delta cp but it didn't change a thing

now i have it where it's kinda coming in, but it's real quite and it's only coming through the left speaker

go to START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL>SOUNDS & AUDIO DEVICES

make sure under the audio tab that you have the AP as an option for hardware. If you dont then go up to add hardware and do an install there. Windows mixer will display your hardware options if it`s installed correctly.

i have windows xp...

heres a screenshot

http://www.ragsmusic.com/ss.gif i see nothing about what your talking about, in the add new hardware place it isn't automatically finding it, and there are many things on the installation disk, i don't know which file is the actual installation file that i need

The computer has found the AP card. It is showing up in the screenshot yuou posted. Now if you go to the "system" icon and click it, then click hardware> device manager> then scroll down to where it lists "sound video and game controllers" click the + beside it and a dropdown list will show everything you have installed . When you see the AP card listed click it and box will appear, select properties >"update driver" . It will ask you the location of the driver files you want to use. Tell it where and then click next. THe program knows which file to use... That should about do it. Make sure you also read the default setup in the manual for the card.

You do NOT specify mixer settings for the Audiophile in the Windows Mixer or Control Panel.

Thank you, however I didnt say anything about mixer settings. I led him through a driver update install, which, believe it or not..., can be ridden with a different saddle. The Windows mixer direction in the earlier post was merely to see and confirm if the OS was seeing the card. If it is not..., then the card and/or driver is not installed properly.

. :)
