Ok, so I am still recovering from a broken wrist and surgery to re-attach ligiments in my left hand. Been a painfiul experience. So I was feeling pretty good yesterday and did a cover of Hello Hurray by Mr. Cooper. Im playing all instruments and trying to sing. I cant sing worth a shit and double tracked the vocals just for the hell of it. The whole thing took me about 2 hours to do. Never played this song before and it was a random pick. My vocals are very amusing so one should get a kick out of it. Pick it apart people and remember I'm handicapped. :) Here is the link.

You sir, like myself, are vocally challenged. :D But I NEVER let that stop me. I'll give you an B flat for effort on the vocals but a very cool listen just the same.

Thanks. I did pretty fly for a white guy a while back and it is halarious. I'll have to post it sometime. The vocals will make you laugh

I like it.

It's a great song, it's well played, & well recorded. I'd like to hear the vocals pushed up in the mix a bit. A/C's vocals were always out front. I'd like, in a perfect world, to hear one strong lead vocal line, vs. the doubling, but you did a respectable job of doubling for certain harmonies that work. The really high parts, where the vocal wavers a bit, is the place where you just gotta SCREAM! It would obviously take some practice to belt it out right, but you have it in you! Nice playing! Really authentic production. Thanx! ;)

awesome quality on the recording. I think you panned the guits a little too hard. Vocals sound fine to me for a rock song. Drums and kick could be punchier and brought up and spread out a bit more. Snare could use some more mids. Nice tune anyways. ;)

Im in the process of weeding out cheap mics and the kick is the next mic to get replaced. I'm using a cheap Audix on it and I probably could get better sound by playing with placement. The guitars were done using Shure SM57 placed against my Peavey JSX amp. I recently got an Epi Valve JR head and it has some good sound when plugged into my 410 cab. Bass was DI into my Mackie 1640 mixer/firewire, Vocals of course sucked. My wife tells me I need to have more feeling (more oomph). Everything was recorded through the Mackie 1640 into Tracktion with a little compression here and there and I used Ozone on the final mix. But the whole recording thing I have only been doing for about 6 months. If I spent more time in my studio Id be alot better. But my surgery and recovery has kept me out. I go to the surgeon today and hopefully he will turn me loose to do whatever. I've been playing with this huge wrist brace on and it limits what you can do.

OH !!! I never thaught about his song Poison. I was thinking the group. :)

Unskinny Bop.

I will have to give it a listen. Hey Greg L, I know your a big kiss fan. I am too. Got a story for ya. My cousin works at Honda and they had Kiss play at their employee day celebration. Anyway he went back stage and went up to Paul Stanley who was on his cell phone and stood thier to get his autograph when he was done on the phone. And Paul turned around and started screaming at him to get the hell away from him. Paul dissed him real bad. So on my cousins birthday his son found a big poster of paul and wrote "get the hell away from me" on it and gave it to him. Funny as hell

Lol. Are you sure it was the real KISS and not some tribute band? I mean KISS still tours and draws huge crowds. I didn't think they'd play company picnics and such. Anyway, Paul Stanley is just like any other dude on a phone. Don't mess with people while they're on the phone. Your cousin owes Mr. Stanley an apology. :p

Damn good for a guy with a busted up hand (or a good hand for that matter)!

No it was Kiss. Year before it was Bon Jovi, They had Kiss and some country singer. Here is link to story on a Kiss web site. About halfway down they talk about the concert. He tried to get extra tickets for me but couldnt. I was bummed. He said he was standing away from him waiting. But he was probably jumpin up and down acting like an idiot. He now says Paul is gay

Honda Fest Recap

Our show in Columbus Saturday night went off without a hitch, we had a great time and after a year lay-off it felt awesome to get back onstage and do a kick-ass show. The 12,000-plus crowd was fantastic and lured us back onstage for a four-song encore of "Cold Gin," "God of Thunder," God Gave Rock & Roll To You II," and "Rock & Roll All Nite." We all spent time after show at the hotel hanging with a contingency of fans that came from all points of the globe (including Japan) with hopes of attending this special private-ticket concert.

My good buddy, PGA Championship winning golfer Shaun Micheel hung out with us for the weekend in Columbus. The deal is that I give him guitar lessons and he teaches me to be a better golfer. Here's Shaun and I backstage before we went on Saturday night.

Oh yea. Forgot to mention. I went to the Dr. today and he cleared me to remove the wrist brace. Said in a couple weeks after therapy and moving it around I should be pain free. Lets hope
