And hate the lame mixer that they use?
I have more problems trying to get the right combo of switches going.
I'm trying to get a decent bass tone(thru my POD XT headphones sounds great)
but it lacks balls thru the soundcard.
I using the S/PDIF as in's and outs and I'm having problems getting the mixer to work right
Anyone have any solutions???

Define "lacks balls". Thats not a very analytical description.

What is not working right? M-Audio's control panel is as straightforward as it gets, especially when compared to something like E-Mu souncards.

What is generating the SPDIF master clock? The Audiophile or POD-XT?

Ok,I listen along to the play-back(using Reaper)
Play back should be thru the "Wave out 1/2" out of the the M-audio mixer.
I press monitor on Reaper so I can hear what I'm playing.
The level is too low so I also try and crank up the direct feed"HW in SPDIF"on the souncard mixer.
It is still not enough,
Where do I control my input level?
When using the SPDIF output from my POD I have no control on my output.

Not sure about that.
I will check when I get home
