I sometimes use NT1's for overheads. But... they are not my favorite and I only use them for certain applications, better if there aren't a lot of cymbals in the part. While they are very clear sounding and give a nice stick sound on the cymbals, they are too "wet" for my taste. Cymbals are already wet and they don't need that from the mic. They also tend to accentuate the dishy sound of cymbals which is hard to EQ out without making the rest of the kit sound like doo doo. For most music, I prefer SDC's.
