Anyone using Echo MIA with VIA chipset?

Hey all- had problems unsolved with my Audiophile card, and am thinking about an Echo MIA card. The Echo website, and talk in newsgroups tells me the Echo is better with VIA chipsets - anyone care to verify or dispute this? I'm not ready to update my MOBO, but new RAM, and reconfigure everything right now.

I was using the Echo Mia on a bunk ass Biostar KT133 Via-based board, and it worked great.

Works even better on my Asus A7V8X board with the Via KT400.

I really like Echo, great products, good support.

Were you able to avoid pops, clicks and the like? What OS?

I'm hoping to be able to use 24bit recording, even 16bit on what I had with the Audiophile card was impossible (it's a shame too because the M-audio card sounded great).
