If you are, I know it's possible to have sounds output to the main and other sounds to the aux outputs.

My question, is it possible to do this...

Have sounds output only to the main left channel, main right channel, aux left, and aux right?

Example:

Snare, Main left
Kick, Main right
Rack toms, Aux Left
Floor tom, Aux Right

Thanks!

What is your purpose in doing so ?
This unit is designed to output in a stereo field. Snare and kick up the middle and toms and cymbals right to left. You also have control for panning position for every note <1 <2 <3 <> 1> 2> 3>
I have a D4 which is basically the same, but I have never used the Aux outs.

Just pan... I had my kick, snare, hats, and percussion all going out to seperate mixer channels so I could track and mix em seperatly.

yep, no problem, I have 2 dm5's a d4 and a dmpro, havent triggered with them in 3 or 4 or 5 years, but I used to do this all the time

stealthtech, he probably wants to do this to have control over each drum's eq and such, thats why I did

Yup! I concur!

A good reason for isolating four seperate sounds to the L&R Mains and Aux's is so you can record them to four individual tape (or computer) tracks on one pass - saves a lot of time over doing them one piece of the kit at a time. Now you can do whatever you want to them, and when you mix, put them back into the stereo field in their appropriate positions.

Very handy feature.

Yep, did it tonight, came out great!

I did it like this:

Snare: Main L
Kick: Main R
Rack toms: Aux L
Floor tom: Aux R

Plus I had two overheads (MC012's) and a SM57 on my snare.

Thanks guys!

Trade?

Hey, Pipeline, you want to trade something for one of those DM5's? I need to do some triggering for a band I've got in right now. Please e-mail me privately if you are interested. Or anyone else for that matter.

Yer one up on me...

I actually haven't used the ProVocal much yet. I've plugged it in to learn how it works and thats about it. The thing I noticed right away is that there are a lot of places throughout the FX chain where you can adjust gain. So, you've got to be careful with your gain structure. Make sure you aren't doing some huge boosts in other words.
