I've debating whether to buy EastWest Quantum Leap Silver or MOTU Symphonic instrument. Does anyone have experience with both so as to compare the pros and cons of each? (Processor/RAM demands, sounds quality, sound quantity, usability, etc.).
i havent used motu but i really enjoy my symphonic orchestra silver edition program. it is a little cpu usage heavy but i have really enjoyed the sounds for use in pop tunes and ballads and such... check out "the lords prayer" sample at http://mikeo.net/sample_there_is_a_beauty.html
I own motu symphonic instrument. Very impressive and clean sounds for the price. You need a machine with pretty good power to run it without wanting to break something though I have a dual 2.3ghz g5 with 2500 megs of ram, and I feel it slow down my computer in pro tools.
