Anyone tried the RTT MKL 101 bottle mic?

I just picked up the RTT MKL101 on ebay (item #385351867). Dangerous, but the price was right.

Anybody out there running one of these puppies? It sure looks like a winner, and we all know that looks is the only thing that counts when it comes to microphones...

Anyway, I haven't heard or used the MKL101 but... I have a feeling you'll be happy with it... My RTT VM100... Mmmm.

I've been curious about that mic as well...

Can you compare it to anything?

The specs are actually a little "better" on the VM100 than the MKL101 (lower self noise, 30-18,000 Hz vs. 40-16,000 Hz), but I was looking for something really "tubey". I'll post what I think of the mic after I've had a chance to put it up in front of a string bass...
