I ran across a guy who can sing AND write, and am looking for the best way to come up with some nice recordings. Culling things down, there are two options - producing stuff ala Nashville and having him record his vocals, or grabbing his live vox/acoustic performance off the board and adding 'live' bass/drums to the original recording (Michelle Shocked, anyone?)
Thoughts?
