Anyone seen a good deal lately on the M-Audio SBX Sub?

I've decided to take the plunge ths summer and add an M-Audio sub to my
BX5s. I'm surprised by the common $400 price on this sub, though, and am wondering if anyone's seen something lower. I remember reading a few posts here a while back that mentioned a $300 purchase price (was it you, Richard?), but I can't find such a price online now.

Thanks much for any ammunition I can use to haggle a lower price,

P.S. I prefer to buy new, if possible--I'm always a bit leary of ebay.
 
Check around, I picked one up for $200 at Sam Ash on closeout.
 
No, I don't think you'll find that price on line. I have a little pull at GC, and they sold it to me for $300. On line, it's usally $400.-Richie
 
Thanks, guys. Either the older and newer model would be fine. I think I'll drive to the nearest GC with three crisp $100 bills and see whether they'll bite. I tried this approach once before (dropping the price to about 75% of the best advertised price I could find) and it worked.
