Anyone play RPGs? I cover some video game music if you're interested.

'lost woods' - that was cool, but the guitar gets too loud @40, and stays that way for most of the song.... Did you use a POD on this? The guitar sounds very midrange to me, but maybe that's because it's so loud.. cool stuff though.. I was inspired to do the same thing with some music from 'Resident Evil', but I still haven't finished it as of today..


FF7 was cool too, but it sounded a lot different..
 
I don't play RPG's, but I know how gaming music can go. A couple of my favorite game soundtracks are Resident Evil and Soul Reaver. Really well done gothic stuff.


This is really cool...bet it was fun. Mr. Bungle did a tune about Link. It was hilarious...even had a video....found it on the net.

Neat stuff. :)
 
God damn, you've got a good idea there man. I've had an idea of doing covers of some game musics for a long time. There's some really great music in the game music ...uhh.. genre?...

The drums are very midi, but it doesn't bother me too much. Good enough of a cover for me. I don't think I've even heard the original. I'm more of a Commodore-64 guy myself :D

Oh, some distortion in the overall mix, get rid of that if you can.

Hmm.. the FF7 thing has those distorted drums. Never heard the original of this either. I can barely tolerate the distorted drums this time. And the mix has some little distortion again.
