Well, I recorded Monteverdi's MarienVesper last night, and did nothing to it, except raise levels a bit and try to cut out some obnoxious coughing.... I was just wondering if anyone would like a project to see what you can do with it...
Its not going to get sold or anything. Its only two channels, and is 24/96 , and is about 1:30. I know absolutely NOTHING about mastering, all my knowledge begins and ends with the actual recording process. This will be a learning tool for me, and I can throw someone some money if they want to help me out. If anyone can help out, please let me know. This is Choral/Symphony music. Once again, this is not for profit for me nor anyone else, but is a learning tool more than anything...If someone does bite, I would like to see the notes for whatever you did to the files...thats where the learning part comes in. I know its a weird request, but im just trying to learn from those more experienced than I.

PM me here or email raytheapostle@yahoo.com

Hey man,

I'm not too experienced, but I could give a crack at it. I haven't mastered orchestral stuff though.

You might want to PM whoever's running the new Mastering Contest, though. They might be interested to have some material.

heck, i dont know if its worthy of a contest, but it is good learning material I guess. pm me your addy and I will send it out to you..you can see what to do with it. ill send it on a DVD as two data files(WAVs)
what id like to happen is after you master it, send it back(mastered) and make notes on what you did, so I can sort of listen and learn from you. id prefer to keep the same bit depth/sample rate too. of course save it for yourself and give to your buds, whatever you want to do with it.
just send me your addy via PM
