I've got my old DAW system for sale if any home recorders are interested. The reason I post it here instead of E-bay is I don't think the average E-bay shopper will appreciate it.
It is an AMD K6III 450 mhz with 256 SDRAM and two hard disks. One 13gig 5400rpm for OS and programs and a 20gig 7200 for audio purposes. The soundcard is the EMU-APS (audio production studio) with four preamps on inputs and SPDIF. It comes with a keyboard and mouse (of course) but no monitor. It would be perfect for someone looking for a seprate audio workstation. The system is rock solid and can be loaded with software of your choice (email me for details) I've tested it up to 20 stereo tracks and not a single glitch or freeze (I stopped there out of boredom). I've bundled it with an evolution keyboard controller and a Yamaha MU 50 16 channel, 32 voice tone generator with 450 individual sounds and 17 drum kits. So all you need is a pair of headphones and monitor to start making music. All the cables included and I'll throw in "the MIDI companion" book for $500.
It would make a great christmas gift for someone.
