i've got a vocal track that needs a few tweaks and re-recording it isnt an option as the singer is out of town, i've already used the demo version of auto tune a few months ago so using it isnt an option since it wont let me use it again unless i buy it. i figure this is probably the only time i'll ever use it which is why i just hope to find a free plug in version, its only a few notes in the choruses that need the fix.. ohh and its for cool edit which i think only uses direct x plugins.

I didn't know there were any for cool edit. What are the non-free ones?

well, i've used auto tune by antares in cool edit before. just about anything you can get as a dx plugin will work with cool edit. its version 2.1 btw

Not sure if they have what you're looking for exactly, but it's a huge database of VST/DX plugins. You might be able to find a shareware version of something that you could use.

If you haven't already used it up then AutoTune has a free 30 day trial that might get you by the current problem.

there is one called G Snap or something... try a forum or google search, I don't have a link or remember the site URL. I think its VST though. Can you get a DX->VST wrapper for Cool Edit?

ohh, yeah, i found that gsnap one, theres a ton of free vst plugs in that page, i just got the vst to dx converter and it works like a charm.
