Anyone know how to burn a CD from a Sonar RIFF file at higher volume?

I normalize my mix file, then export as a RIFF, then burn to CD. But the level's at least 7-8 db lower than all my other CD's. Any ideas? I'm running Sonar 2.1

Thanks.

Compression and/or limiting. You'll never get anywhere near commerical levels without it.

Forget normalizing. It's pretty much a waste of time.

If you have the Timeworks plugs, the compressor is pretty nice. Or an incredibly easy (albiet expensive) limiter is the Waves Ultramaximizer. You can squeez maybe 5 db out of it without it getting too noticeable.

SoundForges WaveHammer will do the trick if you just want it louder... ;)

Ah, yeah, that would have been covered under "compressors and limiters" above. :D

I know that, but it's simplier to use as it has a maximizer too... ;)
