Hello to all...!

This is Lefteris from Greece and I am about to introduce my latest project called Femelle Sainte. I've put together a track that you can download or stream by visiting:

http://www.makemusic.gr/artist/bands/144/

I am looking forward to reading your comments.

The track was done in Logic Audio Platinum, the drum sounds are from Bob Clearmountain loaded in Kontakt, the guitar processor is IK Multimedia's Amplitube and mastering was done in Audobe Audition using, mostly, Steinberg's Matering edition plug ins. Enjoy...

By the way, I am looking for a qualified SINGER (male or female) to work with me on this and on other tracks I am preparing. If anyone's interested please reply.

Sounds really good to me. Well orchestrated, and played. Good mix.

Thanx alot dogman. Really appreciate it...!

Anyone else?

Lefteris

Hell yeah...!

This is part of a concept I like to promote. You know... female vampires and that kind of thing.

But...how about the track Grey???

Sounds like a deep dark and dirty Dream Theatre...I like it. Some of the drums sound programmed but much of it sounds very natural... good recording overall

Thanx alot Rock Doc...!

I'm honored to hear that you found Dream Theater influences in my track. I;m a big fan of them and the next track I'm working on has a more progressive feeling although remaining deep, dark and dirty...

Excellent. The drums, intro toms are great, but the snares could be alittle more real, not complaning here, the track is great.

Love the intro harmonies. The synths are a little too loud, the guitars could be a little louder.

Thanks for the review Loyct...

About the drums, let me share a little secret with you all...

The drum sounds are from an excelent collection from the master Bob Clearmountain. I've been using them for quite a while now (loaded in Kontakt) and they are great either in heavy metal or anywhere else you need real drums. 100% of the rythm paterns are played by me live on my keyboard in order to keep the human feel as much as possible. Although this can not be done with all the fills which are programmed by mouse...

There...I got it out of my system...!

Man I was thinking the same thing from bar 5 on...lol...very nicely done...

Hi all,

many thanks to PK55 and Pandamonk for the support...

The good news is that I may have found a female singer from the UK for this track. I don't know yet...She liked the track and volunteered to write the vocal melodies and sing it and hopefully by the end of the weekend she'll send me a sample. I'm really anxious about that...Anyway if all goes well very soon I'll upload "Revenge" with vocals and lyrics...

See ya...

I agree.
Things I like:
Guitar harmonies/leads
the drum programming
the octoban sounding percussion, very dream theater sounding.
the tom sounds

Things I don't like:
Synths a bit loud
Rhythm guitar a bit thin, but good for modeling.
and something no one else mentioned... the cymbals are quite loud in the mix. Mostly just the crashes, a bit over the top compared to the drums. *coming from a drummer btw.

Hi goodbuybluesky,

guitar harmonies and leads are my field of experteese because...I'm a guitarist, so I am glad you liked them. The guitar sounds come from Ik Multimedia's Amplitube. They are good but I wish I could record through a 4 x 12 cab with a Marshall head but...you know how it is. If I bring something like that home:

a. My wife is gonna kill me and then devorce me (or is it the other way around..?).
b. The neighbours are gonna have the time of their lives as they skin me, kill me and burn me together with my guitar, PC and everything else in the studio...

Hey...I ain't looking for trouble guys...! Just for a record deal!!!

Though I'll keep in mind what you said about the cymbal levels...

Thanx alot...

I'll keep you posted when I upload a new track.

I feel ya. When my 212's power amp blew I suggested maybe it was time for a 412 cab and rack system. I'll never forget my wife's expression on her face. And, I have an apartment. My playing gets done at mostly bedroom levels and during the afternoon when I'm not at work but everyone else is.
