Can you give me the name of a really good music store and its address in belgium where I can find these stuff?

M-audio soundcard
roland monitors
m-audio pre-amps

I really need to know coz my dad is going to belgium tomorrow. thanks

Don't know if they have what you need, but they have monitors, soundcards etc.....Maybe not the cheapest etc, but they have lots of gear. Also not sure they have everything on their site in stock, check with them.

2 shops with the same name: www.keymusic.be
Key Music Ankerstraat 81 81, Sint-Niklaas, 9100, Belgium
Key Music Noordstraat 113, Roeselare, 8800, Belgium
also:
www.piens.be
Piens MusicPlanet, Guido Gezellelaan 30, 9800 Deinze
smaller:
www.leocaerts.be
LEO CAERTS NAAMSESTRAAT 90/94 3000 LEUVEN

There are others, but those I know and have been there.

are there any places in belgium where they sell used music gear especially multitrack recorders?

there's a small chain here called Thoma Okkaze with stores in Antwerp and Ghent (at least). Don't know addresses or if they have a website. Was once in the Antwerp store, but it's kind of behringer-rated material oriented :( :(

Yep, Thoma okaze (Asse, Gent and Antwerp). They are selling stuff for other people taking a cut in the sale (and provide the place, ads etc for that). They sell also new stuff. http://www.thomaokaze.com/

You may be better off buying online new from outside belgium. I still have to find 1 shop here that can match any price I have ever seen on the net (taking transport into account)! Belgium must be the least musician friendly dot on the globe. Take a look at http://www.musicians-gear.com/ Far better prices and service than I got in a shop here.

Just an example: the oktava MC012. if you ask the price here in belgium at the distributor, they quote you more then the double of what you pay them in a shop in the UK.

deadpoet, where are you from in belgium? speaking english caus' I don't know which of the three community you comme from?

Yeah, for those who don't know belgium, you should at least know that we have 3 different languages for a country that's not more than 30 000 square Km. we also have three gouvernements, more than 100 ministers,...
Right now pretty cold weather, about 3° C, most high point= 692 meters. good music scene in belgium, come around.

Mostly one gear store in brussels (capital city) : ORBIT, rue du marche au charbon, n? (expensive).

Hey, we have 2 female tennis players in the top 5 ;)

and most Americans think Belgium is the capital of Brussels :D

sameaslune: let's go private mail here...

hey it's good that you buy stuff from germany. I'm a belgian living in the philippines and I have to get my music gear from belgium. stuff here cost 4 times the original price. a korg d12 costs 2000 dollars in manila. I was about to give up on computer recording because my computer was so lousy and I decided to buy a multitracker from belgium but it seems like the prices there are too high. Now I'm forced to upgrade my computer. A technician lives next door. I guess I'll get more value out of it. My family lives in belgium and I might work there after I graduate. It's nice that belgians are hanging out in this forum. what kind of music do you guys write?

what's the telephone number for thomann.de if i order from belgium?

My dad is going to buy from belgium. I in the Philippines right now and he doesn't have internet there. Can i order from thomann by phone in belgium?

I would at least take a look at www.thomann.de

It is the largest European music store and they usually beat the SHIT out of actual local stores.

And they deliver all over Europe. For Free!

Holy Moly, a thread about Belgium and I missed it!!

The website of Thoma Okaze is www.thomaokaze.com , wometimes some usefull second hand stuff there!

regarding recording gear I had great experiences with Midician in Gent (www.midician.be)

other alternatives are www.limit.be (although I hate that shop managerwith his fake hair), www.The-soundfactory.net and off course the well known keymusic, piens and leo caerts
