It's obvious the guy has tons to offer and would probably find more help here as well. As it stands, in recent posts, he seemingly, endlessly awaits for someone to reply... and posts follow-up replies to his own self. In any case, for those who have access to him, let him know.

Not too many members there these days. I haven’t checked it for a while, but I see the usual high number of unanswered/misanswered questions is about the same.

I feel sorry for some of those guys because a lot of people think it’s a Tascam sponsored site, which it is not. The most knowledgeable and helpful people from the original Tascam sponsored bbs (orphaned in 2003) are here at homerecording.com. Too bad we can’t let them know. :( Well, we participate in other forums as well, but I call this home. ;)
 
I check there on occasion too, just out of curiosity but what really struck me this time and about that specific member, is his total dedication and, many a time, wanting to bend backward to help people out and share his wealth of knowledge there. Many of his posts look like essays and such... Maybe it's just me but I see all that great info wasted. It'd be cool to let him know that most of the action is here. I'll see what I can do....;)

Welcome as well. Both Forums are good to belong to but I don't know why TASCAM insists on making you pay...
 
I don’t know why they make you pay either… it’s not worth it. I was one of the original contributing members there (Member #80-something) and a moderator for a while. I had high hopes for that forum in the beginning, thinking it might become like the old Tascam company sponsored forums. There was talk early on of them getting the old Tascam bbs archives, which contain a wealth of inside info not found anywhere else. But instead they had a falling out with Tascam after trying to bully them into sponsoring their forum. Tascam got so disgusted with them that they even removed tascamforums from their list of recommended recording forums.

There may still be hope for it if the Israeli Nazi hunters ever catch up to Terry Telson (trtjazz) and take him out. :eek:

Anyway 97.4% percent of everything posted in the analog section of tascamforums was posted here first by me and a handful of other regulars here. This is definitely the place to be for all things analog.

I don't think that little punk even posts over there anymore. I guess he moved on after destroying that forum.:mad:
 
Glad to hear that... that he moved on, that is.

At first forum members were human beings over there, but to him, a warped frustrated old man, they're cattle. ;)

it is sad what happened with them... i used to post all the time over there.... haven't hit them in over a month now...
